Not every finance role gives you visibility across risk, operations, onboarding and commercial decision-making, this one does.

A global business in Leeds is looking for a Sales Ledger Analyst to join a high-performing finance function supporting new account onboarding, customer approvals and sales ledger operations.

This is the kind of role that suits someone naturally organised, commercially aware and confident dealing with stakeholders across multiple teams. Someone who enjoys ownership, likes things done properly and can work at pace without sacrificing accuracy.

The role:

This position sits within the wider Sales Ledger and Credit function, supporting the onboarding and approval process for new customer accounts globally.

Day-to-day responsibilities include:

  • Managing new account requests from initial review through to approval
  • Reviewing contracts and carrying out external credit and risk checks
  • Analysing customer information and identifying potential concerns
  • Creating and maintaining customer records within internal systems
  • Managing shared inbox queries and coordinating responses efficiently
  • Tracking onboarding activity and approval volumes
  • Liaising with finance, operations and risk teams across the business
  • Supporting reporting, audits and ongoing data maintenance
  • Getting involved in process improvements, integrations and migration projects

This isn’t a transactional finance role where you’ll disappear into spreadsheets all day. Visibility is high, communication matters and there’s real opportunity to add value.

What’s needed:

  • Previous experience within sales ledger, finance administration, credit control or customer onboarding
  • Strong Excel and data handling skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational ability
  • Confidence working with stakeholders at different levels
  • The ability to manage workload effectively in a busy environment
  • A proactive mindset and willingness to take ownership
  • Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach
  • The confidence to spot risks and escalate where appropriate

What’s in it for you?

  • An annual salary of up to £30k
  • Hybrid working (2 days WFH)
  • 25 days annual leave + bank holidays
  • Career progression
